Get ready for an enchanting adventure before the run up to Christmas really begins. Staying in the town of Oban, on this break we have included a cable car ride up Aonach Mor, where you can experience breath taking views and also a visit to Inveraray. Plus a great entertainment package provided by the hotel.

DURING YOUR STAY

Day 1 – We travel via a suitable comfort stops en-route and a scenic drive along Loch Lomond to our hotel where on arrival a warm Scottish welcome awaits. After some time to freshen up we gather for a drinks reception whilst listening to the Highland Bagpipes being played. A selection of local malts will be enjoyed along with a taster of Scotland’s finest canapés, before a delicious 3 course dinner and an evening of Scottish Entertainment.

Day 2 – After a hearty full Scottish breakfast we have a leisurely drive travelling along the shoreline of the Lochs to Fort William. Here we have included a cable car ride up Aonach Mor, for far reaching views of Glencoe, Ben Nevis and on a clear day the Isle of Skye.  At the summit there is the Snowgoose restaurant and observation balcony.  The mountain gondola is the only one of its kind in Britain. This evening back at the hotel there will be a pre-drinks reception of mulled wine before a delicious 3 course dinner followed by more Scottish Entertainment.

Day 3 – After breakfast explore Oban, the ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland’. Oban is a wonderful place to spend the day.  For stunning views head to ‘McCraig’s Tower’, this colosseum lookalike stands proudly above the town and provides views over the town. In the afternoon, we have included a scrumptious afternoon tea with tea/coffee, a glass of fizz and fresh home baking back at the hotel plus a fun Scottish Quiz- and prizes to be won. This evening dinner will be followed by dancing and singing with Argyll’s top musical act.

Day 4 – After breakfast we have arranged for an excursion to Inveraray, the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll who founded the town in 1745. Later we return to the hotel for a Scottish Fayre Dinner followed by an evening of entertainment and dancing with a Ceilidh Band and piper on the bagpipes– make sure you bring some tartan!

Day 5 – Following breakfast this morning we must bid our Scottish hosts a fond farewell as we travel

home to the East Midlands.
