Embark on some of Britain’s best‐loved and most stunning heritage railways on this fantastic break! Enjoy unforgettable journeys the Severn Valley Railway, Gloucester Warwickshire Railway & Dean Forest Railway as well as visits to Stratford‐Upon‐Avon, Shrewsbury, Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester.

DURING YOUR STAY

Day 1 – Enjoy a leisurely journey to our hotel, stopping firstly in Stratford‐Upon‐Avon, home to the famous English poet and playwright, William Shakespeare.

Day 2 – Today we take a journey on the Dean Forest Railway. This heritage railway runs through the beautiful woodland and countryside of Gloucestershire and allows us to enjoy the relaxing pace of a typical country branch line. Afterwards we visit the lovely city of Hereford, this peaceful city is rich in local produce so perhaps find a spot to sample their world‐renowned beef or apple juice.

Day 3 – After breakfast we board the Gloucester Warwickshire Railway. Sit back and relax as we travel through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Cotswolds, offering wonderful views of the nearby sleepy hamlets and villages and the Malvern Hills – you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d been transported to another world. This afternoon we enjoy a couple of hours in the cathedral city of Gloucester.

Day 4 – Today we take a journey back in time on the Severn Valley Railway – one of the most

popular heritage railways in Britain, and it’s not hard to see why. Meandering your way from Kidderminster to the ancient riverside town of Bridgnorth, your train will pass through the Worcestershire and Shropshire countryside capturing quaint gardens and lovely Georgian architecture along the way. We end our day with free time in Shrewsbury, we think you’ll love wondering along the town centre which is home to timber‐framed black and white buildings.

Day 5 – After breakfast we visit Worcester, this beautiful Cathedral and University city is set on the banks of the River Severn and after a little free time we return home.
