The Postal Museum and Mail Rail are London’s popular attractions. Showcasing remarkable history and never‐before told stories from the past five centuries of communications, with the help of interactive galleries and an extraordinary collection of postal history you can. On this short break we also have the unique opportunity to journey back in time as we ride the hidden tunnels of the Mail Rail, London’s secret 100-year-old Post Office Railway.
DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – After door‐to‐door pick‐ups we take you to Oxford for free time. The ‘City of Dreaming Spires’ is famous around the world for its prestigious University and place of history. For over 800 years, it has been a home to royalty and with a mix of ancient and modern, there is plenty to do from visiting one of the many historic buildings, collages or museums, finding a cosy café to enjoy a tea and some cake or exploring the city’s shops. This afternoon we travel to our hotel.
Day 2 – Today we visit the Postal Museum in London, much more than just a museum your visit will include a unique journey on the Mail Rail – where you will ride through a section of unused track so that you can experience the hidden history of Mail Rail in motion! Afterwards enjoy 500 years of ground breaking postal history before we take you home.
