DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – We enjoy a stop at the Trefriw Woollen Mills, a family business since 1859, they manufacture traditional Welsh “tapestry” bedspreads, smaller Welsh “tapestry” patterns and tweeds from the raw wool using machines which are over 50 years old and powered by a vintage water turbine. After, we travel to our first hotel in Llanberis. On arrival we will have a welcome drink. (4 x DBB)
Day 2 – Our first visit today is to Conwy for free time. Designated as World Heritage Site most famous for its magnificent 13th Century Castle and walls, it is also home to the smallest house in
Britain – known as the Quay House. Afterwards, we travel to the National Trust’s Bodnant Gardens. Created over 150 years ago, this world famous garden is haven of rarity and beauty with a stunning backdrop of the Carneddau Mountains of Snowdonia. We spend the remainder of the day in Llandudno. Developed as an upmarket holiday town for its Edwardian and Victorian visitors, Llandudno has been graced with some of the most elegant seaside architecture in Britain, much of which you can still explore today.
Day 3 – Enjoy a day at leisure in Llanberis. Sitting at the foot of Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales.
Day 4 – After breakfast we visit Portmeirion with admission included into this unique village. Situated on a private peninsula overlooking stunning coastal scenery, this Italian style village was built by Sir Clough Williams‐Ellis and is now one of Wales’ most popular tourist destinations. This afternoon we travel to Blaenau Ffestiniog where we have arranged a journey on the Ffestiniog Railway to Porthmadog. Stretching for 40 miles through the glorious Snowdonia National Park, experience the magnificent scenery in comfort whilst savouring the romance of gleaming steam engines and carriages! We’ll end the day with a small glass of wine, which will be served, with our evening meal tonight.
Day 5 – This morning we visit Barmouth – located on the west coast of Snowdonia. Barmouth has a links to Henry Tudor, the Titanic and even the founding of the National Trust – so while you’re here, why not pick up a Heritage Trail leaflet and find some fascinating sites? Afterwards, we travel to the harbour town of Tenby, best known for its 13th Century town walls. Later, we will take you to our hotel in Carmarthen. On arrival there will be tea and coffee waiting for us before dinner and during our stay there will be 2 nights of entertainment, including live entertainment! Guests can also enjoy free use of the hotel’s leisure facilities, which include a sauna. (4 x DBB)
Day 6 – This morning we visit Picton Castle & Gardens for a guided tour. Built in the 13th Century and
set in 40‐acres of magnificent woodland and walled gardens, it has one of the largest collections of cultivated plants in West Wales, where exotic species co‐exist with native flora. This afternoon we travel to St David’s, the UK’s smallest city. Perhaps visit the 12th Century Cathedral; it is one of Wales’ most iconic religious sites and sits tucked away in a sheltered vale besides the River Alun.

Day 7 – After breakfast we take you to the Gower Heritage Centre. Here, our group will be joined by a knowledgeable guide, for a tour of the Gower Peninsula – via our coach! Afterwards, we will return to the centre to enjoy a traditional cream tea. Later, we travel to St Fagan’s to visit the National History Museum. St Fagan’s is one of Europe’s leading open‐air museums located in the grounds of the magnificent St Fagan’s Castle and Gardens and narrates the historical lifestyle, culture and architecture of the Welsh people.
Day 8 – Situated on the River Towy, Carmarthen lays claim to being one of the oldest town in Wales! Today, you can explore this destination at your own pace.
Day 9 – We retrace our footsteps back home via Gloucester.
