Put the sparkle back into the festive season on this relaxing single’s break to Llandudno, Chester Cathedral and the Mersey.

Day 1 – On our way to Wales, our experienced driver will take us into Chester where we have arranged a guided tour around the magnificent Chester Cathedral. Founded as a Benedictine Abbey in 1092, the church was later rebuilt (taking 275 years to complete) resulting in the magnificent Gothic style masterpiece you see today. Afterwards, we continue to the Beaufort Park Hotel in Mold.

Day 2 – After breakfast we visit Llangollen for some free time. A central point for Welsh history perhaps visit some of the town’s remaining ruins, including the Castell Dinas Bran. This medieval castle is rumoured to be linked to the legends of King Arthur. This afternoon, we’ll return to Mold where you can enjoy some more free time.

Day 3 – This morning there will be free time for you should you wish to go and explore Mold’s famous market – one of the largest and best remaining street markets in North Wales, renowned for its range of local goods and produce. This afternoon, we will visit Llandudno. The town’s landmark Victorian Pier was originally built back in 1876 and remains a wonderful place to grab a warm cup of tea (or coffee) and enjoy the spectacular views out to sea. After some free time, we will travel the short distance to Colwyn Bay for the rest of the day.

Day 4 – We enjoy a leisurely journey to Liverpool with comfort breaks along the way. Here we have arranged an Explorer Cruise. Guided by an expert commentary, you will see (and learn) about Liverpool’s most iconic sights and stunning skyline aboard the world-famous Mersey Ferry. Afterwards, we will pick you up and drop you off closer to the city centre. Before stepping off the coach we will be welcomed by a member of the Liverpool Tourism Board on-board who will provide us with a brief introduction of this famous city. You can then enjoy a little bit of free time exploring Liverpool before we return to the hotel.

Day 5 – Today we begin our journey back to the East Midlands, where your taxi’s will be waiting to take you back home.
