DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – We make our way to the hotel and are greeted with tea and coffee on arrival along with porterage. Later in the evening, there is also a sherry reception before our evening meal.
Day 2 – First, we travel to Lakeside for some free time to explore before going on a 45 minute rebuilt Victorian steam powered yacht across Coniston Water. We finish off the day with free time at Ambleside, situated at the head of Windermere. Here, you can visit The Armitt Museum to find out more about many well-known locals including Beatrix Potter.
Day 3 – Today, we have a day at leisure in marvellous Morecambe where we’d recommend trying the delicious fish & chips! If you’re a Morecambe and Wise fan, you may also like to visit the larger-than-life Eric Morecambe statue located on Marine Road Central.
Day 4 – Our first stop of the day is in picturesque village of Grasmere, made famous by poet William Wordsworth who wrote much of his poetry there. After, we stop off at Keswick at lunch time where you may want to grab a bite to eat, followed by a 50 minute cruise on a steam yacht gondola, which is the perfect way to discover more of the northern Lake District.
