If you want to experience award-winning beaches and stunning scenery at any time of the year, then the English Riviera is the perfect place to visit. Staying in Torquay we visit Totnes, Teignmouth, Exmouth and Paignton. We have also included a journey on the Dartmouth Steam Railway Round Robin including an unmissable railway journey, riverboat and bus tour.

DURING YOUR STAY:

Day 1 – We travel to our hotel.
Day 2 – After breakfast we visit Teignmouth, a stunning coastal town with historic Georgian buildings, long sandy beaches and fresh, local food. After some free time, we travel to Exmouth. One of the oldest and most picturesque seaside towns in Devon, the town is a gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and has two miles of sandy beach, perfect for an afternoon stroll.
Day 3 – Today, you can enjoy Torquay in your own time, one of the UK’s most popular holiday destinations since the Victorian era. Fringed by palm trees and boasting several award-winning beaches Torquay offer’s visitors everything for a traditional ‘British’ beach holiday.
Day 4 – Experience the award-winning Dartmouth Round Robin tour – simply the best way to explore South Devon! Our day will include a journey on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, a river boat and a bus tour visiting the quaint towns of Paignton, Dartmouth and Totnes.

Day 5 – We visit Buckland Abbey. Now owned by the National Trust, Buckland Abbey is a 700-year-old house noted for its connection with seafarer Sir Francis Drake. Partly a museum, today the house is filled with treasures for you to enjoy, such as the legendary Drake’s Drum. This afternoon we take you to Plymouth for free time. Home to an interesting and varied history, and some fascinating local sites dating back to the 15th century perhaps visit the famous Mayflower steps, where the pilgrims once set sail.
Day 6 – After breakfast we visit the renowned Babbacombe Model Village, home to 4-acres of award-winning gardens showcasing hundreds of model scenes, vehicles and people! Later, we travel to the fishing town of Brixham. Centered around the harbour and in the heart of England’s Seafood Coast, perhaps find a nice spot where you can watch the boats and enjoy some of the most delicious seafood in England. 
Day 7 – Enjoy another day at leisure.
Day 8 – We retrace our footsteps home.
