DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – We travel to our hotel.
Day 2 – Our first stop is Brixham, a small fishing town which is filled with a colourful history which includes pirates and smugglers. After, we journey to National Trust’s Coleton Fishacre, which is a 1920s country retreat filled with Art Deco treasures. The gardens are colourfully contrasting with a variety of exotic plants to admire.
Day 3 – Today, you can enjoy discovering Torquay at your own leisure, one of the UK’s most popular holiday destinations since the Victorian era. Fringed by palm trees and boasting a number of award winning beaches Torquay offer’s visitors everything for a traditional ‘British’ beach holiday.
Day 4 – This morning we have free time in the port town of Exmouth, followed by a visit to Teignmouth, a classic resort home to Georgian buildings, a Victorian pier that offers lovely views across the bay and two beaches close to the town centre.
Day 5 – This morning, we visit the thriving resort of Paignton where you have free time to explore all that the town has to offer, including the pier and harbour. After, we make our way to Totnes, a town which is a thriving centre for music, art, theatre and natural health. There is free time to scope out a variety of independent shops.
Day 6 – Today we head to Paignton where we catch the Dartmouth Steam Railway to Greenway Halt. Here we catch a Shuttlebus to Greenway House and Gardens “the loveliest place in the world.” This atmospheric 1950s house is the beloved holiday home of the much-loved author Agatha Christie and is filled with archaeological artefacts, silver and books. The coach is unable to come over with you to Greenway today, so your steam train ticket is for a return journey and our coach will collect you from Paignton at the end of the day.
Day 7 – Today, you have a second chance to discover all that Torquay has to offer.
Day 8 – After breakfast we take you home, enjoying a few comfort stops along the way.
